Historical Data

We specialise in analysing and integrating historical geophysical datasets to enhance current investigations.

At Zonge Geophysics, we have been collecting data in the Indo-Pacific, Australasian region since the early 1980s.

Our significant database from over 40 years of surveys can be used to assist the understanding of various locations across the world. By reprocessing legacy data and combining it with new surveys, we help clients build a more complete and cost-effective understanding of subsurface conditions, reducing redundancy and improving decision making.

Visit our Survey Library to search available legacy data by region and survey method, and see what data is available for your area of interest.

Historical fact

Zonge Engineering came to Australia in the early 1980s at the request of Roy Woodhall of WMC Exploration fame, to see if large spacing CR (phase domain IP) could be used to locate the just discovered Olympic Dam deposit. While it couldn’t—it’s just too deep (other than that it was very successful survey)—that data set is still in our extensive archive.

We assess data as we’re taking it to ensure it’s of value—because you deserve data with impact.

So, for trusted data that’s been processed, analysed, and presented in a format that’s useful, our survey specialists deliver every time.
